#143 did the job!

KOENIGSEGG HAVE DONE IT! 278MPH!

277.9MPH; I guess no one is going to forget these numbers for a long time. It is the average top speed set by Koenigsegg Agera RS during two runs with the speed verified by Race Logic.

Koenigsegg along with the help of Nevada Police Department managed to set this new record. A stretch of 11 mile in Pahrump, NV in USA was shut down for Koenigsegg to achieve this world record.

The car was piloted by a brave man called Niklas Lilja who happens to be the factory driver of Koenigsegg. Word is being spread around that he managed to top out at 285 mph during one of the runs. But there has to be another run in the opposite direction to make it count and that’s why the final average is down to 277.9 mph.

This record is almost 10mph more than the previous record held by the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport.

A detailed story about this feat will be published soon by Koenigsegg. Until then, this news is worthy of a celebration. Now your turn Bugatti!
