In the mid 1990s, Ferrari was planning a race car to compete in the GT1 class alongside cars like the McLaren F1 and 911 GT1. That car was this, the F50 GT, a 750-hp version of the beautiful, but unloved, F50 road car.

Unfortunately, the series that the GT was intended for went under before the F50 could ever compete. That means Ferrari had no reason to continue its production, leaving just three F50 GTs in the world.
