Zenvo, the small Danish supercar company made famous by a Top Gear feature in which its test car lit on fire, is back with another supercar, the TS1. This time around the car is sporting a new 5.9-liter twin-supercharged V8, making an absurd 1163 horsepower to just the rear wheels.
Though the TS1 may look similar to the ST1 it replaces, aero and chassis upgrades mean it can go down the road even faster than before. Just look at this awesome new wing, for example.
Zenvo’s only built 11 cars since the company started production in 2011, but a new Russian investor hopes to increase that number with the TS1. The company gave Henry Catchpole of Carfection the chance to drive one, and he seems to really like it. The speed—even detuned to 850 horsepower—is massive, and the build quality is surprisingly high. The ride is good, and yes, if you really want to, you can order it with a manual transmission. Is it enough to save the brand? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
